Vintage Hitchcock Thriller Film Poster Insert “Strangers on a Train” 1951

This an original vintage movie insert for the classic Alfred Hitchcock psychological thriller “Strangers on a Train ” that was displayed in movie theater box offices. The film was based on a novel by Patricia Highsmith & the screenplay was written by Raymond Chandler (who had previously earned an Oscar nomination for his first screenplay, “Double Indemnity”). The Warner Bros. release starred Farley Granger & Robert Walker. The story concerns two strangers who meet on a train, one of whom is a psychopath who suggests that they "exchange" murders so that neither will be caught.

This 1951 film poster insert (14” x 36”) was in very fine condition prior to restoration & now looks absolutely terrific. The poster had minor wear & tear with creases around fold lines & very slight border wear. After purchasing this poster, I paid for linen-backing & restoration to the poster that included adding missing color along bottom fold line & small tear by man putting on gloves. It looks great!
