Broccoli "De Cicco" "Di Cicco" Italian Heirloom Seeds. italian heirloom introduced to U.S. gardeners in 1890. A uniform, very productive variety that is high in vitamins. Large heads also furnish a high percentage of side shoots, a cool weather vegetable low in calories- only 42 per portion. After central head is cut, many side shoots will form. Very early, great for freezing. Cool Weather crop, very easy to grow. Can also be used as a sprouting broccoli. 50-70 days to maturity or you can use them as sprouts as well. Rich source of Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Dietary Fiber, and Vitamins: A, C, K, B6. Very low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol. Excellent taste as sprouts for salad. We use these in our salads everyday.
