2x lot vintage arcade token from The 49th Street Galleria in Murray, Utah. This iconic entertainment complex was a popular spot for recreation in the Salt Lake City area, especially during the 1980s and 90s.
Here's more information about the token and its origin:
The 49th Street Galleria opened in 1983 and featured a variety of attractions, including a roller rink, bowling alley, arcade, mini-golf, and batting cages, all within a city-street themed interior.
It was later rebranded as The Utah Fun Dome in the mid-1990s, expanding to include attractions like bungee jumping, rides, and laser tag.
The complex unfortunately closed in 2005 following a gang-related shooting in the parking lot in 2003.
The building that housed the Galleria and Fun Dome has since been repurposed multiple times, including as a school (Valor Preparatory Academy, American International School of Utah) and a church (K2)
