Kenneth Morrison, J. J. Audubon's Favorite Birds of America (1951) Hbk Fair

This vintage Grosset & Dunlap picturebook commemorates the anniversary of naturalist James Audobon's death, presenting twenty-five of his famed bird engravings in sumptuous full-color reproduction lithograph plates. The text by Kenneth Morrison is geared towards youth. This is an Ex-Library book, withdrawn from a rural Nebraska public library, with library binding. The binding is tight, and all pages intact. Some pages and the endpapers have the stamps typical of library media, and there is some bumping on the boards. A few pages have small tears on the bottom that librarians taped, but most pages are good. No tape or tear extends into the images; many of the prints might be removed for matting and framing.
