These were made in Japan in the 1960's or 1970's by Lefton. They were known for producing cute keepsakes, banks and other decorative pieces, and they did it so well! They were hand-painted and nicely detailed. Both banks have the removable stopper on the bottom.
The bottom has the item number 4266 and 4293 printed or stamped in it. Also an original red sticker.
Each are approximately 7" tall, is 6" wide and 4" deep.
Both are in excellent condition. No cracks, chips, dings or damage. Colors are vibrant, and details are all intact.
