Gorgeous specimen of Dioptase-A928

This is a beautiful specimen of dioptase, a copper cyclosilicate mineral known for its striking emerald-green to bluish-green color. The dioptase crystals are a vibrant, rich green, forming a cluster of small, well-formed, terminated crystals. They have a vitreous (glassy) luster, which causes them to sparkle and catch the light.
The dioptase is growing on a host rock, or matrix, which appears to be a reddish-brown to earthy-toned rock. The contrast between the brilliant green of the dioptase and the more muted, natural color of the matrix makes for an appealing and classic mineralogical specimen. The crystals are densely clustered, creating a rough, botryoidal-like or druzy surface on the top of the specimen.
