Historical Significance:
-The 1893 World’s Fair celebrated the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's. However, the Major Historical Significance for American history, was the Showcasing of American Progress and Solidifying its Place as an Economic & Cultural power.
Front of Spoon Design:
-The handle features a profile of Christopher Columbus in a wreath with “World's Columbian Exposition” Underneath. The a globe with a staff and sword, Ending with an Anchor.
-The bowl of the spoon depicts a detailed sailing ship.
Back of Spoon Designs:
-Christopher Columbus in a wreath with “1492-1893" on a World Globe underneath. Followed by a Seal that states "THE WORLDS COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION OF 1893 SEAL CHICAGO ILLINOIS USA"
