This watch was found during an estate cleanup.
It is a SEIKO quartz v.f.a.
It is a high-end line of early quartz watches from the 1970s, specially adjusted.
The QUARTZ logo is upright at the 6 o'clock position on the dial, and the v.f.a. written below it means Very Fine Adjusted (Special Adjustment) .

At the time, the accuracy was incredibly precise, within ±5 seconds per month, which was an amazing accuracy for its time.
The unique barnacle-shaped case and white dial are simple and beautiful.
The dial indices are made with individually planted numerals every minute, which is a very time-consuming process. The design is simple, excellent, and exudes the elegance of a high-end product.

In an era when the starting salary for college graduates was 90,000 yen, the Grand Seiko was 80,000 yen, the King Seiko was 70,000 yen, but the vfa was 140,000 yen, making it a very expensive watch.
